The Queensland Government Sports Facilities Authority chooses Uniwell for the new Skilled Park Stadium.

Skilled Park Stadium, built by Watpac Construction and managed by Queensland Government Sports Facilities Authority with catering organised by Michael O’Brien Catering. These 3 organisations got together during construction time to make a decision about which POS system to install to cater for the many thousands of hungry and thirsty fans on game and function days.

They were looking for a system that was fast, robust and reliable while at the same time being easy to operate by the mainly casual staff that would be serving customers on the day. The system also had to be sophisticated enough to provide a wealth of back office stock and sales information to Michael O’Brien Catering.

From a host of systems available on the market the organisers settled on a POS System installed and maintained by Coastal Cash Registers. The original installation of 100 Uniwell terminals has now been expanded to 112 Terminal.

Butcher shops and Fruit & Veggie Stores Love the new Uniwell Touch Screen System

Coastal Cash Registers are successfully installing Uniwell touch screen systems in butcher shops and
fruit and vegetable stores throughout S.E Qld. There a number of good reasons why store owners are turning to Uniwell for their new Point of Sale systems.

* The Uniwell operation system designed specifically for fresh food outlets has a fast, accurate and flexible screen layout which allows operators to locate any item within a couple of touches.

* Fast accurate customer service means satisfied customers.

* Uniwell touch screen systems are designed and manufactured in Japan specifically for the rigorous conditions of Point of Sale. They are not a general purpose PC that has been adapted to point of sale.

* Uniwell systems are a ROM based terminal not a computer terminal and do not experience the lock up's and operating system problems often found with PC solutions.

* There is no waiting for a Uniwell system to reboot and software to restart after a power failure; the Uniwell system will return to the exact position it was at in the sale within a few seconds of the power resuming.

* Unlike computer systems, once set up and installed Uniwell Point of Sale terminals do not need software or hardware upgrades resulting in very low cost of ownership.
